brupp.. bruppp… brupp… brupp… Mmmmm… mmm….

Performance by one of the graduate student of Laselle-SIA College for the arts during the annual graduation show. On Thursday, I went to Laselle with JY and Albert to look at the graduation show. On the whole, it’s quite a different experience compared to the one at NAFA. Like JY and Albert have mentioned before, NAFA’s students’ work are more commercial whereas at Laselle, the work are more abstract. (Indeed..) For the performance, this guy is trying to read a letter with his mouth full of water (several times, he choked himself.. ) then next he try to empty the air inside himself and hold his breathe… then he walk ard and rubbing the audience nose with his.. and try to write something on the floor with his nose.. I was thinking. “ WTH is he trying to show? torturing himself and then doing all these weird things..” hahaha.
Without finish watching the performance, we moved on to see other exhibits.. one of the work displayed is done by JY’s fren – Xiaohui. Her concept quite abstract also – panels with description of dolls (no pic jus words). Master’s students’ work also look chim or messy rather. Haha.. I was thinking.. this kind of stuff kids also know how to draw. Haha.. guess it’s the concept that’s important ba and sad to say.. I dun really know how to appreciate art…
Anyway, above is a piece just done by mi (in less than 10 mins). Hahaha. Doesn’t have any meaning.. just showing today’s date there.. the rest are accessories. Hee…

Interesting news on today’s Strait times:
India – a guy trying to contest in an election so that he can prove a point: that he’s alive! He was declared dead (without him knowing) back in 1990. Reason: his uncle wanted to seize his property.
So for 16 yrs he went to the police, the government offices countless times trying to prove he’s alive.. but those people simply don’t acknowledge that. Not only him but there’re several cases as well. My tot: WTF is the Indians thinking?? In order to have more money, there are people who can perform such unscrupulous act as to bribe the authorities to write a false document to declare his relative dead so that they become the rightful heir of the person’s asset. Quite unbelievable, where’s is the kinship? Or maybe it is true that whenever money is involved, there’s no kinship to talk about. In this practical world, the only truth is to have money. Then again, are the authorities that corrupted, that blind.. think those people in the office can start saying: “ I see dead people” – Six Sense. hahaha
