Attended a ROM lunch yesterday at The Grassroot Club in Yio Chu Kang. The whole ceremony was simple yet solemn. After which we had lunch in the restuarant. Initiately I thought I was attending a lunch treat only but when I reached, I realised I was there to witness the ceremony as well. Only the few of us are invited together with the family members from both families.
Throughout the ceremony, I just can't help recalling how my fren's like 11 years ago.. yes! I know him n the rest of the gang since Sec 3 (he's my band junior).. n now there I was : witnessing him getting married. Feel really happy for them to be able to find that someone who is willing to spend the rest of the life nurturing each other. Of course, I also can't help thinking who'll be the one whom I'll say the vow to.. (preharps no one..). (Oh ya, too bad I missed yours, yun.. so sorry abt that.) Wich both of them can stand by each other till the end and live happily together till the end of time...
For the lunch itself, its actually quite disappointing cos the restuarant suppose to be quite good (Gim Tim) but somehow, for our lunch, the fish is not fresh (got a fishy smell according to the others) and the prawns are not fresh and overcooked as well.. a bit tough, instead of crunchy.. so after we complained about the fish, the restuarant took that dish away and give a $30 discount for each table.. though i must say the discount is quite pathetic cos it's a ROM lunch! and due to the lousy food, the whole thing is not perfect anymore! but anyway, as long as weilun n wife is ok with it.. what can we, the guest, say.. rite? Anyway, if in future you al are considering goin to gim tim @ Grassroot club for the same thing.. think twice.. opps.
So after lunch, we went to esplanade to take pictures! Although the weather was freaking hot, we still spent like a couple of hours there.. taking pic under the hot sun. We also went up to the roof terrace of Esplanade to take picture too.. 1st time I realise we can access the roof terrace. Quite a nice place with nice view.. The interesting thing about going to Esplanade to take picture was that there are people on a lookout for the things to photoshoot.. hee.. While we are taking picture there, Weilun and wife were approached by 3 persons askin them whether they can pose for them to take pictures. With professional camera in their hands, I'm sure the pictures are going to be much nicer than the digital camera. hee.. One of them supposed to send Weilun the photos when she uploaded it. So we shall see the end-pdt. Lesson learnt: For those who wants a free photoshooot for ROM, dress nice nice n go Esplanade! hee..
