I was listening to Music Diary one day and hear this story about this lady who fall in love with a guy (although she is married) and even till the extend of proposing a divorce to the husband.. but the husband do not accept it n ultimately, the lady decided to breakup with the other guy and stay by the husband…….
The story makes me wonder about the commitment and love.. Love is always blind (at least at the start) but hope that when “the sight begins to recover”, the commitment and love for that someone is still there and still strong.
I, for one, strongly believe that marriage is sacred and like the oath that the couple taken: to stay by each other’s side regardless of poverty or rich, of healthy or sick. .. or something like that la. So before a couple gets married, they must be sure that they are able to accept the person as who he/she is, committed to the person and be happy… if there’s any problem at start, then it is important to resolve it before even thinking of getting married.. not only because I think marriage is a life-time commitment but also due to the perspectives of Chinese thinking (a divorce is not a good thing and for woman especially, it tends to “degrade” a woman if you get what I mean.. )
So, commitment tends to play a big part of it.. [in the above story, I suppose the husband also think in the same way.. that’s y no matter what had happened, he did not accept the proposal ] but of course, in a relationship, commitment to the other person will depends on how much you love and treasured that someone..
For those friends getting married this year or the next or the years to come, hope that he or she is truly the someone that you want to treasure and able to accept all the good things and the bad things.. hope u al can resolve all the problems and overcome all obstacles together.. Wishing you al a blissful marriage…
End of my tot....
